I'm still not exactly sure what it does since the description of it in the game makes it sound really great but in practice i'm not seeing anything worthwhile. What weapons should I be using? (Edit: another non-tech weapon I have) The enemy AI suffered a defeat against my advanced shields, retrofitted for Energy Siphon corvettes, and then crushed me despite having inferior fleet score. The game was good though. Energy Siphon is 200% to Shield, 25% to Armour; Mass Driver is 150% to Shield, 50% to Armour.
